My plan for ECCE blogging in 2020
Hello!
I am excited to be back for another year of being a Student Associate of the Esri Canada Centre of Excellence program. I am a second-year Masters student at Western University, working with Dr. Jason Gilliland in the Department of Geography and Human Environments Analysis Lab. I have an Honours Bachelor’s of Environmental Studies in Planning and Diploma in Environmental Assessment from the University of Waterloo.
This upcoming year, I plan on regularly sharing the analytic and visualization process from my thesis work, along with some cool side-projects I am working on, that uses Esri technology. My thesis research involves assessing individual exposure to outdoor food and beverage advertising among teenagers in London, Ontario, Canada to see if there is a correlation with their retail food outlet visitation patterns. This research project will leverage the ArcGIS Pro Spatial Statistics and Space-Time Pattern Mining toolboxes, along with taking advantage of Pro’s new bridge to R Stats.
I look forward to sharing my work on this blog over the upcoming months!
