The SFU Esri Canada Centre of Excellence (ECCE) in GIS within the Geography Department and Faculty of Environment consists of six primary members: Drs. Shiv Balram, Suzana Dragicevic, Nick Hedley, Peter Keller, Bing Lu and Nadine Schuurman. Collectively, there is outstanding research and teaching expertise in the theory and applications of Spatial and Geographic Information Sciences (SGIS). The academic research is organized within several research labs specializing in spatial information, GIS, geocomputation, geosimulation, geovisualization, geocollaboration and remote sensing. The existing research and teaching activities are further facilitated through the SFU ECCE for networking with students, academics, and professionals across SFU, Canada and internationally.
