About Me
Hi I’m Kendra and this is my second time as an ECCE student associate at SFU. My academic interests primarily revolve around GIScience, Environmental Science (the applied biology side of things), and how these two intersect to find solutions to spatially-based environmental problems. My current research focuses on how meaningful analyses can be carried out in the 3D environment. I’m also interested in higher level spatial analysis and modeling in GIS. Although I am definitely a complete novice on the subject, I have a growing interest in machine learning methods and how they can be implemented in GIS to advance analytical techniques and identify novel approaches in the emerging field of Geospatial AI. Hopefully with time I’ll have the chance to enhance my programming skills and eventually even dabble in some basic GeoAI machine learning applications!
